Havana Cuba 13
An old American car from the late 1950's parked on a old Havana street. Cuba was the largest importer of US cars before the revolution in 1959. .Cars ownership in Cuba is still considered a luxury item, many are used to ferry tourist around for about $50 dollars a day. The average Cuba makes 15-20 dollars per month. These old cars are now retrofitted with 4 cylinder diesel engines instead of their original V8 gas burning engines. .Cuban ingenuity have kept many of these vehicles running way beyond their original life span.
