The Interstate 10 freeway in downtown Los Angeles is closed in all directions due to a major fire that occurred beneath the freeway.
CalTrans engineers are assessing the condition of the damage and how to handle repairs. The freeway will remain closed indefinitely for now and will create a major traffic nightmare for the downtown area. This route is used by commuters to arrive and leave work in Los Angeles.
