He and his crew also chopped down “widow makers,” large trees that were half burned and that could fall and kill fire fighters.
Firefighters from Los Angeles County fought back the Bobcat fire from over taking the Mt. Wilson mountain top. The historic mountain is home to the Mt. Wilson Observatory, home of astrophysics, and a large array of television and communication antennae.
The Bobcat Fire is one of LA County’s largest fires with over 114 thousand acres burned.
