  • Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan began her 3000 mile trek across the USA on bicycle for her Tour de Peace bike ride for peace.<br />
The ride's purpose is to end war and, suppression of civil rights, and to end partisan apathy and inaction.<br />
The tour began at the Arlington West war memorial at Santa Monica Beach, where crosses and mock coffins are place on the beach every Sunday to honor the US war dead.<br />
Cindy Sheehan's son, Casey a US Army specialist,  was killed 9 years ago fighting in Iraq.

Koreatown located in the center of Los Angeles populated by 120 thousand residents in a 2.7 mile area. The area is ethnically diverse with 2/3's of the areas residents being born outside the US. It is also the fastest growing area of the city with new banks, restaurants, and housing sprouting up.

  • Los Angeles citizens and Korean Americans deliver a mock coffin to the Japanese consulate in Los Angeles in memory of Ms. Yong-Nyo Lee. <br />
Ms. Lee was forced in to sexual slavery at the age of 16, along with 200,000 young Korean woman by the Japanese Imperialist Army from 1932 until the end of WWll. She was also an activist calling on Japan to apologize to the victims of sexual slavery by Japan. Ms. Lee was one of the final 58 surviving victims. The Japanese government has not issued a formal apology to the "comfort women" for the sexual abuses they endured.

An informal street memorial for Paul Walker, key actor in the "Fast and Furious" film enterprise, and Roger Rodas, race car driver, who were both killed in a solo car auto accident in Valencia, CA. The memorial was held at the crash site, and featured several cars Paul Walker drove in the "Fast and Furious" films. Thousands of fans and car enthusiast showed up to pay their respects.
