The 405 freeway between the 10 and 101 freeway, also known as the Sepulveda pass. The 405 will be closed for two days, July 16-17, 2011, to widen the freeway and add carpool lanes. The closing of the 405 freeway was dubbed "Carmageddon" and is expected to wreck havoc on L.A. traffic. Residents are warned not to drive anywhere near the closed freeway or attempt to use any shortcuts around the closure.
